Together in harmony for 2024!
We are delighted to invite you to sing with us throughout our 2024-25 choir season.
We welcome all those who wish to sing high-standard choral music and are prepared to attend regular rehearsal sessions leading to concert performances with, where appropriate, professional soloists and orchestra.
This spring, we will be performing Mendelsson's Elijah.
We are proud to offer much-discounted fees for students and benefits claimants, ensuring that our choir remains accessible to everyone who has a passion for singing. We encourage you to join us and take advantage of these discounts. See our membership fees for 2024-25 for more details.
We do not audition for membership of the choir. Our rehearsals are relaxed, and we take things at a comfortable pace in the lead-up to our concerts. While sight-reading music can be helpful, it’s certainly not a requirement – everyone is welcome to join and become a much welcomed member of the choir!

Contribute to the choir's enduring legacy
As a valued member of our choir, we encourage you to consider contributing in ways beyond singing. Founded in 1836, our choir has a long and proud history of musical excellence and needs support to ensure its continued success for future generations. Your involvement in our social and fundraising events, as well as in the day-to-day operations, would be greatly appreciated. By sharing your skills and talents, you help ensure we have the resources needed to continue thriving. Together, we can create a vibrant community and secure our choir's future. Remember, the more helpers we have, the lighter the load for everyone. Your contribution makes a significant difference.
