John Perrin
John joined the choir as Musical Director in 2002. He was trained at the Birmingham School of Music and Bretton Hall College of Education. His many qualifications include: ABSM (Gen Mus), ABSM (Org Teacher), ARCM (Org Perf) and Cert Ed.
He has many years of musical experience, ranging from being Head of Music in large secondary schools to Musical Director of choirs. He has trained many types of choir, encompassing all ages and styles.
As a Musical Director, he has conducted a wide range of musicals and operettas, most recently, Evita and HMS Pinafore. He is passionate in believing that music and singing are an important, all encompassing, experience for all. They refresh both mind and body in a holistic way, for the common good.
